Learn Nariyal Ladoo Recipe

Making your favorite Nariyal Ladoo can be a cakewalk provided you have all the ingredients really well. But overall it is not that difficult to make. With simple & easily available ingredients in the kitchen, tasty nariyal ladoos can be made as quick as possible.
Here is a quick & easy recipe for making nariyal ladoos.
Ingredients of Nariyal Ladoo (Ladoo)
  • 2 cups freshly grated coconut
  • 2 tbsp. ghee (to gently roast the nuts & gently fry the grated coconut)
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp. khoya
  • 10-15 cashews, raisins, and almonds
  • 3 tbsp. desiccated coconut, to roll the ladoos
  • 1 tbsp. Cardamom powder for flavoring
How to Make Nariyal Ladoo Recipe:

  1. Take a medium sized pan, heat it on a low flame.
  2. In the pan, add a tbsp. of ghee & roast the grated coconut so that excessive water content in the grated coconut evaporates. Remember to gently toast them and continuously keep it stirring it continuously else it might burn. If you do not dry out the coconut a bit, then the coconut balls may not come out easily.
  3. While toasting the coconut on the heat and gently frying it, add full 1 cup of condensed milk to the roasted coconut and mix them well. After a few minutes of roasting, then add khoa into it and mix all of them really well. Remember to Keep on the heat and continue stirring the mix till the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan. This is the right time to switch off the flame.
  4. Once the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan and keep it in a container to cool.
  5. On the same pan, put 1 tsp. of ghee (clarified butter) and fry some chopped cashew nuts, finely sliced almonds, and raisins.
  6. Put the gently roasted dry fruits into the mixture and then mix them together. Once the mixture is little cooled, place the mixture into your palm & make small rounds/ balls of ladoos. Keep all the ladoos carefully on a place so that they don’t stick together.
  7. After making the balls, rolls them over some desiccated coconut poured on a plate and the nariyal ladoos are ready to be served.
  8. You can have them hot or refrigerate it & have it cold.
  9. For best results, refrigerate the ladoos & store it for 4-5 days.
